Let me tell you a little about us. Here at Epoch Kennel our philosophy on dog breeding is "Quality without compromise". We breed for the total dog, which consists of correct type, temperament and body structure. We strive to produce well balanced Rottweilers that are powerful & compact with substance and heavy boning paired with a beautiful head, short blocky muzzle and sound hips. Their deep rich mahogany markings only serve to magnify their beauty.

We have well established national bloodlines that have consistently produced for us and we line breed to to continue to preserve the same sound quality that these breedings bring about. It is a never ending process as we are continually trying to improve on the quality and type of our Rottweilers with each new generation while incorporating new lines, that we know are producing proven winners.

We believe the males are the foundation of our kennel & you should have the best possible genetics that reflect time proven confirmation dogs and the ability to reproduce those same qualities of your sire in his progeny. The females are the heart and soul of our kennel. As everyone knows it takes more than a nice male to produce beautiful puppies. Our females are every bit as important as our males in our breeding program if not more so. We look for our girls to have the same attributes as our males: stocky bodies, deep chests, large heads, short muzzles & small squared ears, and that paired together will enhance their genes. We want to be successful in producing confirmation dogs that will do well in the ring, as well as being equally successful in all areas be it Schutzhund, obedience, agility, tracking, therapy or just a loving family member.

All of our puppies are handled extensively from birth and are socialized daily. We are there from the moment they are born and are very much hands on until they leave for their new homes several months later. It is our belief that puppies that receive this much time & attention in their early months while they are just developing, will have advantages that will last a last a lifetime. Temperament is key to any sound breeding program and while Rottweilers are naturally protective of their owners and families, it is crucial that your puppy come out of a loving environment, where they are exposed to all kinds of situations and develop their confidence and self esteem.
